Binh Duong drastically stamps out Covid-19, says Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation

Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation made the statement during his working sessions with  Bau Bang and Dau Tieng districts on the local Covid-19 prevention and control on August 2. Accordingly, he requested localities to continue strictly implementing the Prime Minister’s No. 16 Directive and Official Letter No. 1063/CD-TTg on social distancing for Covid-19 prevention and control.

Enough beds for treatment of 20,000 Covid-19 patients

During his working session with Bau Bang district on the morning of August 2, Mr. Loi inspected the construction of the field hospital No. 4 (invested by Hoang Hung Co., Ltd.) in the Bau Bang Industrial Park. The reporter's note shows that the hospital's infrastructure system has been basically completed with beds and medical equipment under installation. It is expected that this hospital will come into operation with the capacity of receiving isolation and treatment for about 3,000 Covid-19 patients at the same time in the next week.

Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation speaks during his inspection tour on Covid-19 prevention and control in Bau Bang district

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation also visited Ngo Quyen field hospital in Dau Tieng district’s Dau Tieng town. This is the district’s first field hospital with all the expense for construction from socialization sources. After more than two weeks of research, Ngo Quyen Primary School was requisitioned as Ngo Quyen field hospital. So far, all material facilities at the field hospital have been installed and is ready to receive isolation and treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Loi highly appreciated the voluntary spirit of localities in Covid-19 prevention and control. He suggested that localities need to continue well performing Covid-19 prevention and control in the spirit of the direction of the Government and the province. Regarding capacity to treat and cure Covid-19 patients, he said that the province is striving to build, complete and put many field hospitals and treatment areas for Covid patients into use with the capacity of about 20,000 beds. Depending on the system of material facilities, equipment, machines and professional capacity of medical staff in each place, the province will assign appropriate treatment tasks under the "3-storey tower" treatment model.

Fiercely fighting pandemic, but not letting people be hungry

At the working sessions, Mr.Loi also asked for localities to strengthen the effective operation of checkpoints; continue strictly implementing social distancing in the spirit of people isolating from people, houses isolating from houses, quarters isolating from quarters, businesses isolating from businesses…; regularly carry out patrols and handle violations for organizations, businesses and individuals that do not comply with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control. If any locality that is subjective, negligent and not drastic in Covid-19 prevention and control, causing the pandemic break out, the head of the Party Committee and the government will be disciplined.

Regarding the content of the Prime Minister's direction on mobilizing people to join hands in the fight against the pandemic in the spirit of "stay where one is”, Mr. Loi asked for localities to strengthen human resources and continue maintaining the effective operation of community-based anti-Covid-19 groups in residential areas. Localities also need to take advantage of the loudspeaker system at communal and district levels to regularly propagandize and mobilize people to limit going out, thereby minimizing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

Along with measures to tighten social distancing and restrict movement in accordance with the time frame, Mr. Loi also suggested localities to continue urgently, drastically and synchronously carrying out measures against the pandemic; synchronously,  rigorously conduct  a campaign on rapid antigent testing, taking large-scale Realtime-PCR test samples to soon find and "separate" F0 cases from the community; scan areas for many times until they are really clean from Covid-19, then proceed to "lock" them to ensure no reinfection.

At the inspection tours on the local Covid-19 prevention and control, provincial leaders have consistently grasped the stance of drastically fighting the pandemic, but not letting people be hungry. Accordingly, the province has tried to synchronously and drastically carry out measures against the pandemic in the spirit of protecting people’s health. In order to ensure that there is no risk of pandemic infection and outbreak in residential areas and factories, the province has closed many businesses, traditional markets, supermarkets and shops. Provincial leaders have always closely directed goods supply activities, ensuring an adequate and stable supply of essential goods such as food, foodstuffs, necessities, etc. to serve people during the social distancing period for Covid-19 prevention and control.

The province has also requested the Fatherland Front and mass organizations at all levels to urgently recheck and make a list of unemployed workers and people with difficult circumstances for support. In addition, the province has also encouraged workers and people with difficult circumstances to directly call to the local Party Committee and government in case of needing support or reporting on Covid-19 prevention and control via the 1022 Quick Response Switchboard.

To ensure that the 1022 Quick Response Switchboard is a switchboard that always listens, accompanies and is ready to support people during the pandemic period, Mr. Loi said he will directly monitor the switchboard's information activities and requested leaders of the Party committees and authorities at all levels to directly participate and listen to people's feedback through the local Rapid Response Teams.
