Afternoon of September 28, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee received and worked with the survey team of the Vietnamese General Trade Union on the implementation of the Trade Union Law 2012 from Hanoi and led by Mr. Nguyen Phan Anh, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnamese General Trade Union. Receiving and working with the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member, Head of the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, and Chairman of the local Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee.
The survey team of the Vietnamese General Trade Union is working in Binh Duong
The report of the provincial Trade Union read that the 31 industrial parks and 12 industrial clusters residing in Binh Duong currently has over 1.2 million employees. By the end of June 2022, 4,066 grassroots trade unions including 3,298 grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises are residing in Binh Duong. As soon as Vietnamese Trade Union Law 2012 was promulgated to be effective from January 1, 2013, the provincial Party Committee led, and the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Justice to assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with provincial departments, agencies, district People's Committees to work together with the Trade Union. The province proactively organizes and propagates so that trade union members, employees, employers and people in the province could follow. In addition, in the past 10 years, the provincial People's Committee, departments and branches, in collaboration with the provincial Trade Union, have organized 25 meetings and dialogues between leaders of the province, district, departments and branches with over 4,730 turns of officials in grassroots trade unions and workers. The provincial People's Committee has directed the provincial Social Insurance to coordinate with the provincial Trade Union to inspect and urge the recovery of nearly VND 120 billion arrears in social insurance premium.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phan Anh assessed that over the past time, the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Committee have actively directed all levels and branches to effectively implement the Trade Union Law 2012 to have achieved many outstanding results. He said that based the survey in provinces and cities, the survey team heard many comments from trade unions, experts throughout the country to compile a report summarizing the 10 years of implementation of the Trade Union Law 2012 for the Presidium of the Vietnamese General Trade Union to propose the National Assembly to amend and supplement the Law in line with the current stage.
In the morning of the same day, the survey team of the Vietnamese General Trade Union worked with the provincial Trade Union to hear comments from the grassroots trade union officials and grassroots trade unions related to the amendments and supplementing the Trade Union Law 2012.
