According to a report by provincial People’s Committee, the province well realized policies on social welfare in the first nine months of 2014.
Particularly, the province spent around VND505bln on taking care of revolutionary contributors and needy people, building and upgrading 32 gratitude houses, 73 great unity houses; generated jobs for 57,200 people, supported 836 others to get vocational training; paid VND3.031trillion for social insurance, VND356bln for unemployment insurance. Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that the province’s socio-economic performance reached positive results over the past nine months. For social welfare, he has also asked for relevant agencies to increase by 10% of policies for Vietnamese heroic mothers, Agent Orange victims and sanitary staff on the upcoming Tet (lunar New Year) festival.
