nearly 7,700 units of blood in 2010.

But according to Mrs.Lien, 2011 was the year to mark the province’s success in the voluntary blood donation campaign with 8,000 units of blood given or 124% of the set target. Provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation has also set the target of collecting 9,000 units of blood this year.
To achieve the above-mentioned results, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation over time sped up dissemination of information about the voluntary blood donation campaign through many models. There are now 108 voluntary blood donation squads with nearly 3,500 members and 356 propaganda squads with 2,900 members.
One of the most effective models in the voluntary blood donation campaign of the province is the club for reverse blood donation. It is known that members of the club last year gave 810 units of blood, helping many patients in need.
To promote the voluntary blood donation campaign, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation over time set up a club for those who have the rare blood type of Rh (-) with 20 members.
