Afternoon Mar 7, Vietnam Social Insurance held an online conference with 63 provinces and cities nationwide to evaluate the work of listing families joining health insurance. Nguyen Thi Minh, Deputy Minister cum General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance, chaired the conference. At Binh Duong bridge point, Dang Minh Hung, Deputy Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; and leaders of departments attended the conference.
According to statistics, by the end Mar 3 2016, the country had over 75 million people (82.1% national population) joining health insurance. Vietnam Social Insurance classified provinces, cities that have entered data results of over 95% population, less than 90% population. Data were also filtered to select provinces, cities with insured people number that was lower than national population, higher than local population; eliminate identical information, insufficient or inaccurate information. Particularly, Binh Duong had 63.4% insured people compared to local population by the end of Mar 2016.
Due to the lack of data about insured people number in localities, Vietnam Social Insurance asked Social Insurance of localities to mobilize all resources to complete the DK01 sample collection, to review and sort out data in order to ensure the rights of insured people, increase the insured people number nationwide.
