The Lunar New Year 2021 is approaching. Binh Duong is stepping up and strictly implementing the peak time of Covid-19 prevention and control. Therefore, the health authority of the province is implementing four groups of solutions in parallel to detect suspicious cases early, proactively stamp out epidemic in all situations to ensure that people can welcome a New Year safely and happily.
Quarantine zones have strengthened infection control and strictly followed quarantine process.
4 groups of solutions for disease prevention and control
Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Health, said that, following the direction of Ministry of Health, provincial health branch implemented four groups of solutions for disease epidemic prevention and control. Namely, to manage people from abroad entering the province, to strictly implement regulations on quarantine; invest, strengthen testing capacity; train health officials, to set up plans, prepare large-scale sampling, increase testing, ensure good treatment facilities in case of Covid-19 infection, and promote communication to encourage people implement recommendations of Ministry of Health.
In the immediate future, the province continues to strengthen the strict management of people entering the province, including legal and illegal entries. Since Tet 2020, the province has been maintaining patrol, inspection and examination at border trails. In the coming time, the province will continue to strengthen functional forces to ensure safe blocking.
The province also invested, strengthened laboratory capacity, supervision and testing of cases with suspicious manifestations. In particular, at this time, many respiratory diseases, which are symptomatic of Covid-19, are hospitalized for testing. In the period before, during and after Lunar New Year, the health authority is also ready for disease prevention and control; trained health workers, planned, prepared for large-scale sampling, strengthened tests, ensured treatment facilities to be prepared for the worst situations because we do not know when and where Covid-19 would appear. To repel the epidemic, the province continues to call for helps of the community, encouraged people to implement recommendations. Meanwhile, at medical facilities, the prevention and control of epidemic becomes an urgent task, testing of suspected cases as prescribed by Ministry of Health are strengthened.
All provincial areas implement seriously
Currently, no Covid-19 infections have been detected in provincial community. However, the risk of epidemic outbreak and spreading in the community is unpredictable, especially when Lunar New Year is approaching. Therefore, localities in the province have raised their alert level and implemented effective disease prevention and control measures.
Pham Van Bay, Vice Chairman of Di An City People's Committee, said that the city directed functional forces to be vigilant, use their experience of disease epidemic prevention and control, proactively implement disease prevention and control plans to meet the new situation requirements, especially in crowded areas; drastically carry out 5K measures (wearing face mask - disinfection - social distance - no gatherings - medical declaration); regularly check and control places having high risk of infection, such as hospitals, markets, supermarkets, public transport, schools, factories...
Currently, provincial functional forces strengthen road control, strictly manage the area, prevent illegal entries causing Covid-19 infection; investigate and repel the lines of illegally crossing borders, strictly handle cases of deliberate violations.
