On the morning of May 5, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, hosted a reception for Mr. Jaya Ratnam, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Vietnam, who was visiting Binh Duong.
At the reception, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Vo Van Minh, thanked Mr. Jaya Ratnam for always showing affection for Binh Duong in the past time. Mr. Minh said that Singapore currently ranks third among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong with 327 investment projects, total capital of nearly US$5.94 billion.

Provincial leaders pledged to create all favorable conditions for Singaporean businesses to successfully invest in Binh Duong. The provincial government will propose solutions to remove current bottlenecks of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) to attract more investors and speed up the implementation of the VSIP 4 development plan, which is expected to start construction in August 2025.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Vo Van Minh, expressed his hope that the Ambassador will continue to focus on introducing numerous potential Singaporean enterprises interested in investing in Binh Duong. He also emphasized the importance of supporting and facilitating Singaporean universities in opening branches and collaborating with schools in Binh Duong.
Mr. Jaya Ratnam affirmed that Binh Duong is always an important strategic partner of Singapore. Singapore's investment in Binh Duong is important and increasingly resonant. In which, VSIP is a symbol of friendship and solidarity in economic development between Vietnam and Singapore. Mr. Jaya Ratnam has committed to actively seek and attract more investors to VSIPs of Binh Duong.
