Binh Duong is ready for the 2024 National Muay Championship

From September 20 to September 30, Binh Duong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host the 2024 National Muay Championship. It is expected that about 30 delegations from provinces and sectors across the country will join the tournament.

There will also be many quality athletes of Muay Vietnam competing at the 2024 National Muay Championship in Binh Duong.

This tournament is held to celebrate major holidays in 2024; at the same time, it is a premise for coaches of the Vietnamese Muay team to select more athletes for the team, prepare for training and competition in international tournaments in 2024 and especially the 2025 SEA Games slated for December next year in Thailand.

According to the announcement of the Organizing Committee, the age group registered to compete in this year's tournament is from 15 to 40 years old. Each unit is allowed to register at least 1 athlete to compete in 1 weight class. Each participating team will send at least 1 to 2 referees to the team to perform duties at the tournament. The tournament takes place from September 20 to 30 at Binh Duong Provincial Gymnasium.

At the 2024 National Muay Championship, only one combat competition will be held. In each weight class, there must be at least 3 registered teams to compete to organize the competition and award prizes. The tournament is divided into two age groups: 15 to 17 years old and 18 to 40 years old. In the age group from 15 to 17 years old, the men's fighting competition includes weight categories from 43kg to 75kg; the women's fighting includes weight categories from 43 to 67kg.

In the age group from 18 to 40, men's fighting has weight classes from 45kg to 91kg, women's fighting includes weight classes from 45 to 71kg.

The 2024 National Muay Championship will start in 2 days. Currently, the host, Binh Duong, is making final preparations to welcome the teams that will compete in the last 10 days of September. Muay athletes across the country will have exciting and quality competition days.
