Amid the current information explosion, taking the Party’s newspapers to people is very important. To disseminate the Party and State’s policies and laws, since 2007 when the project of gathering young workers is launched, the provincial youth union and Binh Duong Newspaper have concertedly implemented “Binh Duong youths” edition and issued 10,000 news sheets per week free of charge for young workers on every Friday.
Implementing the project, Thuan Giao ward People’s Committee party committee and People’s Committee have steered mass bodies and organizations, especially the ward youth union, to develop sub-societies for young workers. As a result, the ward has so far set up 24 sub-societies for young workers with 1,699 members and weekly offered 176 news sheets of Binh Duong Newspaper free of charge for them.
Ho Thi Thu Ha, secretary of Thuan Giao ward youth union said that young workers are very happy to receive Binh Duong newspapers.
Nguyen Hoai Thu, member of sub-society for young workers in My Phuoc township, said “Despite busy work, I take charge of time to read Binh Duong Newspapers on every Saturday. I hope that the number of news sheets of Binh Duong newspaper for young workers will increase in the coming time”.
As one of localities gathering many businesses, My Phuoc township has set up 42 sub-societies for young workers with 1,469 members and the number of free editions of Binh Duong Newspaper is at 200 news sheets per week in the locality.
Nguyen Phuong Hung, head of sub-society for young workers in Hoa Lan 2 quarter, said “By reading newspapers, I am interested in information on politics, initiatives, examples. They are driving forces helping me overcome difficulties. I also hope that Binh Duong Newspaper continues spurring many contents for young workers”.
As of the end of 2012, the total sub-societies for young workers in the province were at 1,380 with 49,498 members.
