Thanh Huong lodging house is a typical model of implementing coordinative program to deliver Binh Duong Newspaper’s publications to worker lodging houses. This program is performed by provincial Youth Union in collaboration with Binh Duong Newspaper. Reading atmosphere at this lodging house was very animated. The newspaper has become an indispensable food for the mind of workers here. The lodging house has been a reading room for workers to learn about news, policies, laws. Most workers can find and read Binh Duong Newspaper, especially in every Saturday, newspapers are delivered free to the lodging house for workers to read.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, owner of this lodging house, said: “Every week and month, we have regular meetings to inform workers about Youth Union activities, we use Binh Duong newspapers as materials for these meetings. The fully and timely reflection of Binh Duong Newspaper on useful information has helped workers to be updated and complied with the Party’s policies, the State’s laws”. Thanh Huong lodging house has now 50 lodging rooms. Every Saturday, local Youth Union provides 3 Binh Duong newspapers for the lodging house.
Binh Duong Newspaper has made remarkable improvements in appearance and page organization. As a newspaper representing the voice of Binh Duong Party, government and people, the newspaper has adequately addressed issues of workers. Therefore, the newspaper has proved the role of a revolutionary newspaper in the renewal stage, and become a Party newspaper containing a strong fighting spirit and high critical thinking with a series of investigative reports on thorny issues of life, attracting the attention of majority readers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sum, Secretary of TDM City Youth Union, said: Implementing the coordinative program to deliver Binh Duong newspapers to worker lodging houses, the union directed affiliates to enhance the delivery to lodging houses for workers. In my opinion, the newspaper has helped Party members, retired cadres, people to learn about major policies as well as realize Party resolutions.
Especially, reading Binh Duong newspapers has helped workers to be updated on necessary information of career opportunities, unemployment insurance, health insurance, labor safety and hygiene, mid-shift meal’s quality, collective labor agreements, dialogue at workplace, accommodation for workers, childcare service for worker’s children…Reading and following contents on this newspaper has also helped workers to accumulate knowledge and experiences to work better, apply the new industrial working style.
