According to the provincial Committee for Culture and Society under the provincial People’s Council, female laborers at businesses in Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An, Di An and Ben Cat towns accounts for about 70-80% of workforce. Enterprises with many female laborers mainly include fields of apparel, electronics and more. At Foster Electronics Co.Ltd. in VSIP II, Thu Dau Mot city, there are 11,810 female workers out of 12,444 laborers. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien revealed “I leave my hometown of Nghe An to start a new life in Binh Duong province. I fortunately enjoy a stable job at Foster Company. With more than 3 years of working, I become a line manager with a stable income. This helps me increase more motivation and belief for the future”.
With more than 90% of female workers (945/1,050 workers), Dinh Huy Co.Ltd. in Binh Duong industrial park, An Binh ward, Di An town specializing in footwear production makes efforts to well take care of sisters. According to the company directorate, during process of recruitment, the company offers vocational training for sisters.
After graduated from the secondary school, from Nam Dinh province, she moved to Binh Duong to seek out a stable job. She fortunately enjoys a free vocational training and a stable job at the company, female worker Nguyen Le Hang said.
Meanwhile, Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co.Ltd. in Di An ward, Di An town also has more than 85% of female laborers. Every year, the company gives priority of recruiting female workers for their carefulness and cleverness. However, most of them have no experience, knowledge and skill. Therefore the company must set out plans of training for them.
Care needed
Female laborers account for huge quantity of workforce, so it is essential to take care of their spiritual and material life. So, companies actively organize useful activities to create significant playground for them. Nguyen Minh Hoang, chairman of Shyang Hung Cheng Co.Ltd. trade union in An Thanh ward, Thuan An town said the company set up the woman’s affairs committee. With practical activities, the committee was awarded merit certification by Vietnam Labor Union. Especially, the company trade union applies successfully installment of breast milking cabin at workplace to help sisters feed their children by breast milk. Right from the early period, the model wins great response from female laborers.
In addition, Yazaki Eds Company offers reproduction health check up, grants gifts for women on holidays as well as supports goods purchase with original prices for them. Possibly speaking, offering job opportunities and increasing income for women bring a fresh breath for them, helping them affirm their position in the society.
