Provincial Red Cross Society has just cooperated with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board and members of the Volunteers’ Club under provincial Buddhist Sangha to visit and present gifts to poor ethnic minority people hit by natural disasters in Krong Pa district’s Chu Ngoc commune in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.
At the visiting place, the delegation gave regards to the victims of natural disasters and presented 300 gifts worth VND500,000 each, including rice, instant noodle, sugar, salt, clothes…and cash, to them. All these gifts have a total value of VND150mln, funded by provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board and provincial Red Cross Society.
It is known that Binh Duong provincial Red Cross Society has been twinned with Gia Lai provincial Red Cross Society since 2006. Binh Duong provincial Red Cross Society has yearly teamed up with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board and members of the Volunteers’ Club under provincial Buddhist Sangha to organize 3 or 4 charity trips to the remote areas of Gia Lai province assistance to offer assistance to the local poor ethnic minority people, helping them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
