Attending the launching ceremony were Colonel Trinh Ngoc Quyen, Director of provincial Police Department. Provincial Police Department collaborated with provincial Red Cross; Cho Ray Hospital HCM City to receive blood donation at its headquarter, while ensuring the procedures, regulations, measures to prevent and control the Covid-19.
With the motto "One blood drops to give - One life stays", in phase 1, more than 200 officers of 36 units under provincial Police Department actively participate and contribute more than 300 blood units. It is expected that provincial Police Department will launch 2 more phases to ensure the target of 1,000 blood units to establish a "blood bank" contributing to supplement and meet the demand for blood in emergency and treatment at medical facilities, especially amid the epidemic.
