Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health said that province’s health sector has rechecked a list of subjects for Covid-19 vaccination, submitted it into provincial People's Committee and proposed the Ministry of Health to buy about 3.1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine for more than 1.4 million people aged 18 and about. Of that amount, there are more than 482,000 doses for priority groups under the Government's Resolution No.21/NQ-CP and the remaining amount of more than 2.6 million doses is expected to be bought from the local State budget to give free injection for locals.
According to Dr. Chuong, along with reviewing and proposing the local need for Covid-19 vaccines, the province has also committed to organize vaccination in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health while making sufficient payment for purchasing Covid-19 vaccines in accordance with quantity registered with the Ministry of Health; advance a part of the expenditure under the agreement with vaccine manufacturer and supplier and comply with payment method under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health also issued the Official Dispatch No. 2461/BYTKH-TC on registration of purchase and commitment to allocate the expenditure for the purchase and use of Covid-19 vaccine.
