Digital information is vital resource of a nation and a challenge to enterprises as far as hijacking is concerned.
The frequency of attacks is growing and has been trippled since 2010. For enterprises depending much on digital files and documents, a havoc attack can make severe effects on their operation. Popularly, attacks are for profit only while privacy is invaded. Political aims of attacks may claim State’s agencies; however, security is generally ignored or loosely managed.
In a recent workshop on digital safety for enterprises and State’s agencies, attention was drawn to security loops that most of the websites belonged to State’s agencies have.
“Security is not ensured in plenty of sites. We warned them but few feedbacks returned to us,” said Mr. Phan Thanh Nam who is in charge of Telecommunication Office of Department of Information and Communication.
By 2011, Binh Duong Province is ranked 29th in 63 provinces for applying information technology for an increased ICT Index. Recently, Document No. 3002/UBND-VX dated October 10, 2011 approved by Provincial People’s Committee has faciliated Department of Information and Technology in cooperation with University of Natural Sciences to organize a workshop specialized for IT officers in State’s agencies and organizations in a bid to update digital security approaches.
