Morning May 15th, provincial Steering Committee of illiteracy fighting, education universalizing, learning society building announced the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training to recognize Binh Duong province meeting national standards of universalizing preschool education for children of 5 years old in 2014. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of PPC, Head of the Steering Committee attended the conference.

Mr. Tran Thanh Liem conferred the Ministry of Education and Training’s decision to recognize Binh Duong province meeting national standards of universalizing preschool education for children of 5 years old.
The year 2014 was the first year that Binh Duong province performed illiteracy fighting, education universalizing under the Government’s Decree 20/2014 / ND-CP dated March 24th 2014, and one year of implementing secondary education universalizing. Due to attention of the Steering Committee, education and training sector performed this mission according to 3 synchronizations of infrastructure, quality of teachers, policies to support children to go to school in order to ensure maintained and sustainably developing results.
After one year of implementation, up to May 2014, the province had 89/91 communes, wards and towns meeting national standards of universalizing preschool education for children of 5 years old, achieving 97,8%; 9/9 of districts, towns and city meeting national standards of universalizing preschool education for children of 5 years old, reaching 100%.
Therefore, Binh Duong province was recognized to meet national standards of universalizing preschool education for children of 5 years old by the Ministry of Education and Training. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem emphasized, besides economic development, the province has paid attention to developing education and training. He also asked Steering Committees at all levels to accelerate the implementation of guidance documents relating to works of illiteracy fighting, education universalizing.
On this occasion, the Steering Committee awarded certificates of merit to 37 excellent collectives, 54 individuals in 2014.
