Morning Dec 25, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs hosted an online conference to summarize the implementation of tasks in 2011-2015 period in fields of labors, contributors (people credited with contributions to the revolution), and social beneficiaries. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, chaired the meeting. At Binh Duong bridge, leaders of agencies and sectors attended the conference (photo).

In the 2011-2015 period, the country created jobs for about 7,800 persons, recruited over 9,000 new learners of vocational training; trained worker rate reached 51.6% at the end of 2015. Implementing preferential regimes to contributors, by the end of 2015, 98.5% policy households reached the same or above the average living standard of local residents; 98% communes and wards performed well taking care of martyrs, wounded soldiers.
Regarding social field, poor household rate nationwide fell from 14.2% in late 2010 to 5.97% in late 2014; implemented preferential policies supporting social beneficiaries, provided regular allowances for about 2.6 million persons.
In Binh Duong province, in 2011-2015, policy, vocational training, social beneficiaries were taken good care. The province settled 8,000 records of contributors; built 244 gratitude houses, repaired 591 houses; donated 356 saving books to policy families; created new jobs for more than 228,000 workers; allocated 20 billion VND to funds for creating jobs in 2014 and 2015.
Binh Duong also heightened the criteria for identifying poor households (higher than the Central’s criteria); at the end of 2015, the province has 0.64% poor households; disbursed 769.591 billion VND for poverty alleviation programs… The province also spent 1,379 billion VND on visiting, giving gifts, monthly allowances to social beneficiaries.
