Tran Huu Tai - Chairman of the provincial Veteran Association, said that the Standing Committee of the provincial Veteran Association in recent years has directed and guided the construction of many movements and very effective models such as traditional education propaganda team of veterans for students of schools, union members, and youths, veteran force with the model of not scattering votive paper when mourning, veterans’ golden heart, urban civilized streets, veterans of Thu Dau Mot city to maintain traffic order and safety, among others.

Do Van Thanh - Chairman of the Veteran Association of Thu Dau Mot City, said that officers of the City Veteran Association in the first three months of 2023 coordinated to reconcile 7 out of 8 cases of disputes and conflicts in the community, contributing to the cultivation of passion and neighborhood. In addition, the members educated 3 subjects and helped 5 improve while providing 8 sources of information to the police, and coordinating patrol and guard of 185 meetings with 8,500 participating members.
Meanwhile, the Veteran Association in Di An city implemented golden heart model with a monthly allowance of VND 300,000 - 600,000 a person for 36 veterans and children of veterans living in difficult circumstances or infected with Agent Orange or orphaned of both parents. Dang Trung Nguyen, a veteran of Binh An ward of Di An city also provided monthly support to 210 disadvantaged households with 10 kg of rice each. Associations at all levels in Bau Bang district have built a model of affection with specific jobs to help offer VND 10 million for heart surgery for children of veterans, support home repair for members, and visits to sick staff members and funerals.
In Bac Tan Uyen district, it was also quite successful with the model of not scattering votive papers when mourning veterans and relatives while mobilizing members to contribute VND 47.5 million to give more than 100 gifts of notebooks to excellent students from poor and nearly-poor households, students who are children of veterans as well as the management of 28 routes. The Veteran Association of Tan Uyen city also funded to helping poor students go to school at an amount of nearly VND 24 million.
