Binh Duong provincial delegation visit and work with Singapore Technical Training Institute

On July 17, during a business trip to Singapore, Binh Duong provincial delegation led by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked with Singapore Institute of Technical Training (ITE).

The provincial delegation visited and worked with Singapore Technical Training Institute

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha said, more than 25 years ago, in 1997, the Vietnam - Singapore Technical Training Center (now Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College) was established. This is a training cooperation project between the Governments of Vietnam and Singapore to provide skilled human resources for the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP).

This is considered a bright spot in technical training in Vietnam with its training curriculum, teaching and learning environment, modern machinery and equipment, and systematic training methods. Firms in VSIP and other industrial zones in the province are satisfied and appreciate the quality of training. This training model is considered as a successful three-house model, contributing to attracting foreign investors to Binh Duong.

Over the past 25 years, the school has trained more than 15,000 students and graduates, over 90% found jobs right after graduation and most of them have jobs that are suitable for their profession. Training size of the school is increasing every year, up to now, it has increased to nearly 3,000 students.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha thanked the Government of Singapore, ITE and Singapore experts for sponsoring the development of Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College; Binh Duong believes that ITE would cooperate and share experience in training activities for the further development of Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College, contributing to Binh Duong's sustainable development towards a smart, civilized, modern city...
