Practically celebrating the 113th anniversary of International Women's Day (on March 8) and the 1,983 years of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, on March 2, the provincial Police Women's Union held a trip activity at the local historical relic sites of Tam Giac Sat (the iron triangle) and Phu An Bamboo Village in Ben Cat town.
Nearly 100 women officers and members participated in the activities. The attendants offered incense at the temple, listened to explanations about the formation and development of the Tam Giac Sat Tunnels Historic Site.
Major Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of the provincial Police Women's Union, said that on the occasion of March 8, the women with outstanding achievements can also participate in meaningful activities such as attending the public ceremony to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh at the ceremony monument to the six things he taught the People's Police (in Bac Giang), meeting leaders of the Party and State at the Office of the National Assembly, participating in the folk dance festival and summarizing the photo contest of "Being proud of the female soldiers of the People's Police", the meeting to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Women's Union of the Ministry of Public Security, participating in activities visiting historical sites, exchanging volleyball games organized by Emulation Cluster No. 8 under Women's Union of the Ministry of Public Security at Ben Tre provincial Police.
