On the morning of March 15, the province’s health sector received 1,700 doses of Covid-19 vaccine from Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC) under the allocation plan of the Ministry of Health at provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control receives 1,700 doses of Covid-19 vaccine from VNVC Binh Duong Vaccination Center
At the reception, provincial Centers for Disease Prevention and Control received and preserved 1,460 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, equivalent to 146 vaccine vials. VNVC Binh Duong Vaccination Center retained 240 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to support inoculation for units, including Bau Bang district, North Tan Uyen district, Thu Dau Mot city. It is known that the first Covid-19 vaccination phase will give priority to frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic.
Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health (DoH) said that 1,700 doses of Covid-19 vaccine returned to the province in the batch of vaccines produced by AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Group and Oxford University. Binh Duong is among 13 provinces and cities allocated Covid-19 vaccine by the Ministry of Health in the phase 1. After receiving Covid-19 vaccine doses from VNVC Binh Duong Vaccination Center, provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control made preservation for them at its vaccine warehouse as stipulated.
Over the past time, provincial DoH directed relevant units to recheck the list of people for vaccination, set up plans deploying the local Covid-19 vaccination drive. The province’s health sector will organize training for health workers to perform vaccination at all levels right after receiving first Covid-19 vaccine doses.
