Binh Duong receives supports for COVID-19 prevention and control

On May 24, Binh Duong province held a ceremony to receive the support from P&G Vietnam Company for the COVID-19 prevention control work. Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

At the ceremony, Sai Ramana Ponugoti, General Director of P&G Vietnam Company, presented more than VND 3.5 billion (including VND 3 billion in cash and more than VND 500 million in goods) to Provincial Red Cross Association to support the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the province. 

Before that, in March 2021, P&G Vietnam Company had joined hands for the anti-COVID work, namely doanted goods worth over 800 million VND to provincial Red Cross. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen appreciated and acknowledged the companionship and support of P&G Vietnam Company to Binh Duong during the past time. He also added that over the first 5 months of 2021, foreign investment in Binh Duong increased by $1.252 billion compared to the same period 2020. This is a proud record, because amidst the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Binh Duong still retained its growth rate. 

In particular, this year, Binh Duong was ranked 4th by the international community in terms of Economic Development Edge Index. Binh Duong province no longer has poor households, the average income per capita is the highest in the country (over 7 million VND/person/month). These figures show that the province's economic development has accompanied social security guarantee. 

On behalf of leadership and people of Binh Duong province, he respectfully acknowledged the golden heart of P&G Vietnam Company, and affirmed that Binh Duong province is always ready to meet, solve difficulties of businesses, assist businesses on their path of development.
