Binh Duong requests to Prime Minister for allocation of additional 1 million vaccine doses

On August 10, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province sent an urgent dispatch to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh about the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines. Accordingly, Binh Duong province proposed to the Prime Minister to consider allocating an additional 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

Reporting to the Prime Minister, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Standing Deputy of the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, said that in the past time, Binh Duong province has  seriously and drastically declared solutions to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic under the direction of the government, the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health in order to soon control the epidemic and reduce the rate of severe patients and deaths.

Specifically, since the beginning of the epidemic, there have been 176 deaths among 2.6 million people. Binh Duong is striving to return to the "new normal state" from September 1, 2021.
In parallel with the implementation of large-scale testing to soon separate infection cases from the community, the main solution is to vaccinate to achieve herd immunity in the province.  With a population of more than 2.6 million people, Binh Duong needs to vaccinate more than 2 million people, in which priority is given to subjects according to Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP of the government and the labor force.  to ensure production maintenance without disrupting domestic and global production chains.
Based on the allocation of Ministry of Health, Binh Duong quickly developed a plan and implemented vaccination with a capacity of more than 100,000 doses a day. As of August 10, 2021, Binh Duong has basically completed the allotted number of vaccines. However, because the data entry on the national Covid-19 vaccination management platform has not bên kept pace with vaccination progress, the data on the system does not fully reflect the actual situation. Currently, the province is focusing on promoting data entry, which is expected to be completed and uploaded to the system in the next 2-3 days.

In order to achieve the goal of controlling the Covid-19 epidemic and returning to the "new normal state", the Provincial People's Committee respectfully requests the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health to continue to pay attention to and prioritize allocation of1 million more doses of vaccines in the shortest time. The province committed to inject all 1 million doses of vaccines within 10 days to ensure safety, effectiveness and the direction of the government, the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health on vaccination against Covid-19.
