On Sep 27th, the semi-final round of Binh Duong Startup Innovation Contest 2020 took place at Creative Space and Startup Support of Thu Dau Mot University.

The semi-final contest had participants as 12 teams, who are from universities and colleges in the province and passed the previous rounds, came to this contest with creative and youthful business ideas. The teams make a 5-minute presentation. After the presentation part, the judges asked in-depth questions involving ideas and projects of teams.
After the contest, 8 groups with the highest scores will participate in a 3-day intensive training course on startup knowledge and skills organized by Provincial Youth Union, Thu Dau Mot University in collaboration with the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council to complete their startup ideas and development plans.
Speaking at the contest, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Science and Technology, Head of the judges, said that the teams needed to focus on clarifying the feasibility and necessity of their project to the market. "You need to focus on clarifying the main content of your idea. Accordingly, the idea needs to successfully solve the actual problem of the market", Mr. Nguyen said.
