Promoting traditions
63 years ago, sacrifice of student Tran Van On burnt patriotic and will of undaunted fighting for students and pupils nationwide.
During the past 36 years, the flame was promoted by generations of students by action plans for the sake of the country.
Promoting traditions of the former generations of students, the provincial Students’ Society has over 3 years played a role as a bridge between students and the Party and State. Through activities, the society has educated and fostered students to help them win high results in their study.
Notably, there are 2 highlighted mobilizations of “5 good student” and “Students build friendly and healthy education environment”. From criteria of 5-good student, Binh Duong students set out goals by their own. In the past school year, there were 6,876 students registering to win the title of “5-good student” and many other students being awarded the “January star” title.
In addition, the Students’ Societies across universities and schools have created learning movements for the sake of high achievements. From the “creative thought” contest, Binh Duong University’s students have actively won efforts in study and research with many significant and practical projects. In the past year, there were 49 projects made by local students with the total cost of VND191mil. Especially, there were 8 students of Thu Dau Mot University winning high prizes at the national math-physics Olympiad.
Assistances for students
In the last school year, Binh Duong students had many chances to enjoy programs and projects held by the local Youth Union. Particularly, holding career consultancies, job fairs and training courses on living skills for students was focused.
Typically, Binh Duong University in cooperation with local Job Center introduced part-time jobs for 1,500 students, Thu Dau Mot University held 11 training classes on communication skills for over 2,000 students and so on.
In addition, meetings between students and local leaders have helped students believe in the Party and State’s leadership. Specifically, there were hundreds of gifts and scholarships being given to poor excellent students.
At the 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese Students’ Day, the provincial Youth Union secretary Nguyen Pham Duy Trang affirmed that flame of patriotic of the former student generations enlightens and motivates Binh Duong students’ efforts to keen on the new height.
