Binh Duong supports over VND 53 billion for Lao Cai to overcome consequences of natural disasters

On November 27, a delegation from Binh Duong province, led by Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Head of provincial Relief Fund, visited and provided financial support to Lao Cai province to help overcome consequences of natural disasters. The delegation was accompanied by representatives from provincial Red Cross Society, sectors, departments and Becamex IDC.

During the meeting with the delegation, representatives from Lao Cai province shared information about damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 in the region. Due to the storm's aftermath, Lao Cai province suffered significant losses in both human lives and property. In the spirit of "Mutual support and compassion”, organizations, individuals and the community have joined hands to assist the people of Lao Cai in overcoming difficulties, restoring production and stabilizing their lives.

After learning about the impact of Typhoon No. 3 in Lao Cai province, Binh Duong province took practical actions to offer support and share in the hardship. In this round of assistance, Binh Duong continued to organize a delegation to visit Si Ma Cai district to assess the local situation and provide further support.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Danh expressed his sympathy and encouragement to the people of Lao Cai province for the losses caused by Typhoon No. 3. To help the people of Lao Cai overcome the aftermath of the storm, the delegation presented a symbolic donation of VND 53.351 billion from the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Duong to the people of Lao Cai. Binh Duong province hopes that this support will help alleviate the losses, assist the people of Lao Cai in rebuilding strong and safe houses, stabilize their lives and restore production.

As part of the delegation, representatives from Binh Duong provincial Red Cross Society also presented a symbolic donation of VND 250 million to the people of Lao Cai province affected by the last natural disaster. Additionally, they offered gifts to 100 households hit by the last natural disaster in Si Ma Cai district, with a total value of VND150million. Each household received VND 1 million in cash along with a gift worth VND 500,000.
