Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on October 9, headed a
delegation of Binh Duong to visit and present gifts to people in Ky Anh
district’s Ky Trung commune in the central province of Ha Tinh.
In Ky Trung commune, typhoon Wutip blew off roofs of 170 houses and damaged 365
hectares of forest and crops with total loss estimated at more than VND8.2bln.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Pham Van Canh extended his best regards to the victims while encouraging them to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. The delegation also donated VND50mln and 100 boxes of instant noodle to 100 households with the most difficult circumstance.
Prior to that, the delegation granted VND40mln in aid relief to Ha Tinh provincial Relief Committee to support victims of Wutip in Ky Anh district’s Ky Trung commune, helping them stabilize their lives and resume production activities. Thanh Le Import Export-Trading Company also donated 750 boxes of instant noodle to the victims in the commune.
In Ha Tinh, 126 houses collapsed, more than 24,000 others were unroofed while more than 620 hectares of rice, nearly 2,000 hectares of crops, more than 3,600 hectares of forest and 455 hectares of rubber were damaged. The typhoon also wept away tens of thousands of cattle and poultries. Total loss caused by the typhoon in the province was estimated at more than VND1.1trillion.
*On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to victims of Wutip in the central province of Quang Binh.
At the visiting place, on behalf of the delegation, Mr.Pham Van Canh granted VND600mln in aid relief to Quang Binh provincial Relief Committee. The fund will be used to build 20 unity houses for people with houses completedly collapsed by Wutip. Representative of Thanh Le Import Export-Trading Company also donated 1,000 boxes of instant noodle worth VND70mln to Quang Binh provincial Relief Committee.
Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Vice-Chairman of Quang Binh provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported total loss caused by Wutip estimated at nearly VND8.1trillion. The typhoon left 12 people dead and 339 injured. More than 156,500 houses were unroofed while a vast area of crops was damaged.
The delegation will further visit and present gifts to some families seriously hit by Wutip in Quang Binh today, October 10.
