Like many others emerging in the career by the bare hands is not an easy story, but the determination to stay with their second homeland in Binh Duong has made the magic. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son from Long An Province is one of such examples. Son said that he had asked other peers in his village to share their apartment in Binh Duong Province to enable his work as a worker. After 8 years, he have had a family with two children at An Phu Ward of Thuan An Town.
“Comparing to life in Ho Chi Minh City, I think life in Binh Duong Province is much easier as the costs is low so that I can save up to build my own house like today,” said Son with joy.
The land of life worthiness
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, a worker of Hoi Nghia Company who is residing at social housing apartment of Hoa Loi near the new city which she had bought from preferential treatment of Becamex IDC. She was glad to escape the house renting trauma to be at peace for supporting her children in better conditions. In those days, her joy is visible on meeting everyone.
“Binh Duong Province is the land of prosperity and life worthiness. We are proud to be here working and living – the land of past wars, glorious victory and creativity of socio-economic development in peacetime,” said Huong in friendly voice.
By our investigation at social housing in Hoa Loi and Viet-Sing apartment or housing in My Phuoc Industrial Parks 1 and 2 in Ben Cat Town, many workers are residing and working in the so-called second homeland. Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, the Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Youth’s League informed that Binh Duong Provincial Youth’s League, being aware of the important role of the young working force in the stage of Binh Duong construction in particular and nation build up in general, has organized various programs and activities to take care of spiritual and material lives of the workers, particularly, those workers far away from home. The support of the league and all-level authority has helped to offer jobs to the majority of immigrant workers who can even buy their own houses to settle down in Binh Duong Province. Trang expected that such successful immigrant workers should promote their youth spirit to join local Party Committee, authority and people to build a more and more prosperous and developed province out of Binh Duong Province to make it a modern and civilized city of sentiments in the future.
