Today, Binh Duong Union of Science and Technology Association holds the 3rd congress for the 2015-2020 tenure. Since its inception, Binh Duong Union of Science and Technology Association has implemented many programs and projects to improve quantity and quality of tech-science skills of local intellectuals.
Nguyen Quang Tuyen, chairman of Binh Duong Union of Science and Technology Association said that the union gathers many young intellectuals, promotes its and rapidly approaches and applies tech-science achievements in production, meeting requirements and tasks in the new period. The union also often learns about members’ aspiration to grasp advantages and disadvantages for timely orientation.
In addition, the union carries out tasks of consultancy and assessment for complicated projects as well as actively suggests the provincial People’s Committee to counsel and assess projects that have participation of members. Moreover, the union implements assessment on environment, waste treatment, water resources usage and more for hundreds of local enterprises.
Over the past years, Binh Duong Union of Science and Technology Association in coordination with the provincial departments of Science and Technology, Education and Training, Labor Union, Youth Union has held initiative contests for local teenagers, children. These activities have brought many encouraging results. Many measures and works have been applied effectively in real life.
“In the coming time, the union will continue to perfect organization to promote its role, affirm it as a strong socio-political organization. The union will mobilize and collect intellectuals, facilitate members’ development, effectively implement consultancy, assessment in social field, disseminate tech-science knowledge for people, instruct the public to join in tech-science research and application as well as organize activities of education and training, contributing to build a learning society and train and foster talents”, Nguyen Quang Tuyen said.
Until now, Binh Duong Union of Science and Technology Association gathers 17 membership societies, develops 2 centers with the total members up to 13,528 who are scientists, managers, engineers, doctors and more. They are an important force contributing to create the provincial union of industry, agriculture and intellectual. Over the past years, quantity and quality of intellectuals have been improved significantly.
