On September 24, Binh Duong University held a ceremony to celebrate its 25th anniversary (September 24, 1997 - September 24, 2022). Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony.
Binh Duong University was established in 1997, firstly offered only undergraduate programmes, now also provides postgraduate programmes. Over two decades of establishment and development, the school has trained and provided the society with nearly 50,000 graduates from its all levels. During that time, the university signed cooperation agreements with more than 30 universities, institutes and research centers of 11 countries around the world.
In 2010, Russian Academy of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement to set up its branch at Binh Duong University. With a training capacity and quality recognized by the society, in 2016, the Korean Government chose this school to locate the Sejong Center to meet the needs for learning and research on Korean language and Korean culture of people that are currently living and studying in Binh Duong.
On this occasion, Staint Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia) granted academic title of Professor to Cao Viet Hieu, Rector of Binh Duong University. Recognizing the school's contributions to the development of the province, the Provincial People's Committee presented the school with the banner: “Dynamic, creative, responsible, effective” for an open education; awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups and 50 individuals.
