Binh Duong University receive second-class Labor Medal

On the morning of September 24th, Binh Duong University celebrated its 20th anniversary (September 24, 1997 - September 24, 2017) and received second-class Labor Medal. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Tran Hong Quan, former Minister of Education and Training; PhD. Ha Huu Phuc, Director General, Director of MOET Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council.

From an institute with relatively modest facilities at the beginning, after 20 years of development, Binh Duong University is now an university with an investment of nearly VND350 billion. Currently, the university has 38 affiliates, one branch in Ca Mau. The university has trained and granted degrees to over 34,000, provided a significant human resource for society. In particular, the university has actively cooperated with more than 30 universities and research institutes of countries with modern education, contributing to improve the quality of training in line with the spirit of integration in the new period.

With these contributions, on this occasion, the collective of Binh Duong University and Prof. Cao Van Phuong, Chairman of Directors’ Board, Rector of Binh Duong University, received second-class Labor Medal by the President; certificates of merit by Vietnamese Association of universities and colleges; a laudatory writing of "Dynamic, creative, responsible, effective for an open education" by provincial People's Committee; and 11 collectives, more than 43 individuals with outstanding achievements were commended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee, praised the achievements of Binh Duong University in the past 20 years. He urged the university to promote advantages to become a prestigious university. With the increasing position in the higher education system, Binh Duong University needs to train a human resource with creative thinking, good practice skills, industrial style and high team and discipline spirit, to be capable of mastering modern science and technology knowledge, especially in the 4th  industrial revolution; Be willing to devote their strength and wisdom to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time.
