Binh Duong wants press agencies to further provide positive information on local development

On the afternoon of August 1, provincial People's Committee held a regular press conference to inform about the local socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first half of 2023. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired the press conference.

Vo Anh Tuan, Chief of provincial People's Committee Office said: In the first half of 2023, Binh Duong continued suffering negative impacts from the general difficulties of the global economy. The production and business situation of some enterprises in the province continued facing many difficulties and challenges. Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee drastically, synchronously and effectively implemented solutions to promote economic growth, promptly remove enterprises ‘difficulties to maintain and develop production. As a result, the province reached and surpassed 19 out of 35 targets on socio-economic development, national defense and security. The province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2023 increased by 3.76% over the same period in 2022. This was an encouraging result in the current difficult situation.

At the press conference, representatives of press agencies in and out of the province raised 25 questions pertaining to many groups of issues on social welfare, security and order, measures to support businesses, workers with working hours reduced; school preparation, tuition support for workers’offspring, assurance of medical equipment and supplies in medical examination and treatment...

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Ha welcomed contributive ideas on the local development from representatives of press agencies in and out of the province while requiring relevant sectors to answer thoroughly, focusing on quickly solving problems raised by press agencies. He suggested that in the coming time, press agencies will further provide comprehensive and positive information on the local socio-economic development, national defense and security to readers.
