The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the results of the national excellent students selection exam for the school year of 2022-2023. Accordingly, Binh Duong province won 31 prizes, including 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 8 third prizes and 19 consolation prizes. Specifically, the first prize belonged to the subject of physics. The second prizes went to three subjects of biology, informatics and philology.
This time, Binh Duong had 3 students from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted entering the second round of the competition to select the Vietnamese Olympic team to compete in regional and international competitions, namely Dinh Nguyen Hoang Thanh with first prize in physics, Nguyen Gia Hao with second prize in biology and Tang Xuan Bac with second prize in computer science. This is the second year in a row that Binh Duong has had students participating in the regional and international Olympic team selection exam. The national exam for excellent high-school students for the school year of 2022-2023 tool place on February 24 and 25. There were 69 units registering for participation with 4,589 contestants. Among them, 62 candidates in 9 teams came from Binh Duong. Thus, Binh Duong still maintained the goal of achieving 30 national excellent student awards or more every year.
