“Young workers volunteer for homeland borders, seas and islands” is the great voluntary program under the 2014 summer youth volunteers campaign. The program was launched at the young workers’ festival held at Foster Vietnam Electronics Co.Ltd.
Young workers subscribe money for soldiers and fishermen in
Truong Sa and Hoang Sa.
At the young workers’ festival, after many significant activities of entertainment, health check-up, medicine granting and so on, “Young workers volunteer for homeland borders, seas and islands” program received great support of numerous young workers. More than 500 young workers representing about 13,000 workers of Foster Vietnam Electronics Co.Ltd. subscribed their one day salary to help soldiers and people in Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos.
There were many young workers supporting their wage money for many times. Huynh Thanh Nhan, worker of Foster Vietnam Electronics Co.Ltd. said that in the past she responded a text-message campaign to raise fund for soldiers and fishermen on Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spartly) archipelagos. Now, the “Young workers volunteer for homeland borders, seas and islands” program is launched right at the company so she again continues to join and mobilize friends, relatives and colleagues to respond the program. “United we stand, divided we fall. If all people unite together and contribute to the country, we will create a huge strength”, Nhan said.
Nguyen Thi Mai Tram, worker of the company said that in addition to supporting by materials, laborers can contribute to the country by useful deeds such as taking care of family, themselves and involving in useful deeds for the society. This is also a concrete patriotic deed, bounding for Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos. It is known that before the program was launched, Foster Vietnam Electronics Co.Ltd. put subscription boxes across departments at the company and received great support from laborers.
“Young workers volunteer for homeland borders, seas and islands” program includes 2 contents of launching, raising funds for “Truong Sa- Hoang Sa gratitude” program and initiating the writing contest on homeland borders, seas and islands for young workers.
Aside from support by materials, the writing contest for young workers is a form to encourage spirit of soldiers and marine policemen. Tran Hung Dao, head of Foster Vietnam Electronics Co.Ltd. said “Through the contest, we want to send message to all young workers. It is that we enjoy a stable production environment, thanks to soldiers working at the homeland seas and islands. Therefore, young workers show up patriotism by bounding for the homeland seas and islands on concrete and significant deeds”.
