Youth itinerary eyes homeland sea and island is one of 8 volunteer summer campaigns 2014. Lastly, Binh Duong provincial youth union held voluntary activities for community at Phu Quy island district of Binh Thuan province with the participation of more than 80 youths and unionists. This is a significant itinerary of Binh Duong youths for the island people.

Bringing joy for children
Right after Binh Duong voluntary youths arriving at Phu Quy island district, hundreds of people and children from 3 communes of Long Hai, Ngu Phung and Tam Thanh gathered at Phu Quy island district Culture Center to attend in the festive day of “Binh Duong youths for homeland sea and island”.
In the meantime, youths and unionists prepared gifts for the island district’s children. Binh Duong provincial youth union granted 20 bikes, each worth VND2mil and 30 scholarships and 30 gifts to children. Aside from gift packages, children enjoyed attractive folk games.
Taking care of people’s health
Meanwhile, Binh Duong provincial society for Young Doctors offered free health check-ups and medicines for more than 300 people at Tam Thanh commune health station. Do Thi Thuong, 74 said “I have suffered backache joint pains for a long time. I can not afford to treat at hospitals. Now, a delegation of Binh Duong provincial society for Young Doctors offered a free health check-up and medicines for poor people, I am very happy”.
Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet, a resident of Phu Quy island district said “Herein, when suffering serious diseases, we have to go to Binh Thuan provincial general hospital by boat. If the weather is bad, we can not go to the hospital. Now, the delegation’s doctors arrived at the island district, we were very happy”.
Talking about his feeling after overcoming more than 200km from Binh Duong to Phan Thiet and over 56 sea miles from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy island district, doctor Do Van Doan said “I am very happy when being joined in the program of “Youth itinerary eyes homeland sea and island”. Arriving in the locality, I realize that local people still face with many difficulties. I hope to contribute partly to take care of local people’s health”.
