In the morning of Oct. 26, the provincial Youth Union solemnly held its 6th congress for the term of 2014-2019 at the provincial Center for Convention and Exhibition.

This is an important political event for Binh Duong youths, marking the union's new period of development in the national cause of industrialization and modernization.
Volunteer and creation
In the past term, the provincial Youth Union implemented 3 big mobilizations of "Youths live usefully", "Youths volunteer for social welfare and environmental protection", "Youths make wealth legitimately" and 2 programs of "When the country needs" and "Building and developing the youth union organization, expanding united front and gathering youths". Possibly speaking, these mobilizations and programs have reached many remarkable results.
Committee for youth union at all levels always renovate and diversify operational forms, expand organization, hold distinctive movements and mobilizations in conformity with characters of youths, luring, gathering and promoting participation of numerous youths as well as contributing to spur local socio-economic development and leaving profound impressions for the public opinion. Developing organizations among young workers through implementation of the project of "gathering young workers in the period of 2011-2015" really becomes the most important highlight in this term by building 900 sub-unions of young workers at lodging areas and non-state enterprises. Accordingly, more than 50,000 young workers join in the sub-unions for young workers, hundreds of thousands of young workers approach and enjoy the union's programs and more.
At the congress, the provincial Youth Union bravely referred to its shortcomings in the past term. They included shortage of operational maintenance and consolidation, modesty of organizing monthly activities, low rate of participants in several movements and more.
Following Uncle Ho's teachings
In order to improve shortcomings in the past term, deputies discussed contents of consolidating quality of the union's operation and expanding united front of youths, improving efficiency of orientating the public and building key force among youths, especially young workers and students and among others. Accordingly, deputies set out contribution ideas, helping youth movements develop stronger. In addition, the congress unified operation orientations of the VI term with the slogan of "Youths are united, volunteer, creative to building Binh Duong into a civilized and modern urban area".
In the new term, the provincial Vietnam Youth Union will focus on implementing the movement of "I love Vietnam" and consolidating, developing the union, gathering youths. Accordingly, the movement of "I love Vietnam" is to educate, orientate and promote the national patriotism tradition, build aspiration of dedication and national protection among young people. Simultaneously, the union will create a good environment to encourage youths to express their patriotism by concrete deeds in a bid to uphold youths' role in solving the society's urgent concerns, meeting requirements of local socio-economic development and so on.
Addressing the congress, Nguyen Anh Tuan, secretary of the central youth union applauded the union's results in the past term and asked that in the new term the provincial youth union should deploy the movement of "I love Vietnam" with the goal of lighting patriotism fire in young people's hearts as well as accelerate gathering and solidarity among youths, strengthening assistance for youths and so on.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Huu Tu, secretary of the provincial party committee highly appreciated operation of the provincial Youth Union and asked the union to find out reasons and shortcomings ans set out detailed goals for the new term; maintain political stuff, build a strong, overall youth generation from thinking to action, uphold role of youths in the cause of local socio-economic development and more.
Concluding the congress, Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, the new chairwoman of the provincial Youth Union of the VI term urged youths across the province to raise solidarity, volunteer, grasp opportunities and determine to overcome difficulties and challenges, contributing to build a civilized, modern, prosperous Binh Duong.
