In this year’s summer, Binh Duong youths involved voluntarily in environmental protection for community and homeland.
Nearly 40,000 youths and unionists initiated “Volunteer Saturday”, “Green Sunday” campaigns across the province during 2 months. They focused on works of cleaning routes, eliminating illegal advertisement boards, dismounting old promulgation panels, planting green trees across schools, roads… Typically, youths of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao districts and Thu Dau Mot town planted additional over 15,000 green trees, contributing to create green space for urban, street and park areas.
In addition, as many as 15,000 young people under all level youth unions cleaned streets, repaired rural routes and dredged canals.
Specifically, students of Binh Duong University of Technology and Economics planted over 10,000 green trees along routes in Ea Lop commune, Dac Lac province whilst students of Binh Duong University implemented a work named “Lighting rural routes” at Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province with the total length of 2km…
Volunteer students of Vietnam-Singapore College dammed up dykes at Phu Giao district, implemented youth works at Binh Nham commune, Thuan An town with the total length of 1.5km.
