On January 17, a delegation of the Naval Region 5 Command, led by Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan, Political Commissar of the Naval Region 5 Command visited, extended Tet greeting and donated gifts to officers and soldiers at units stationed on Hon Khoai island in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau province. Joining the delegation of the Navy Region 5 Command was Binh Duong province’s delegation, led by Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of provincial Military Command.
Hon Khoai island currently has forces, including Radar Station 595 under the Regiment 551 of the Naval Region 5, Hon Khoai Border Guard Station under Ca Mau provincial Border Guard, Hon Khoai Lighthouse Station under the Ministry of Transport - Transportation, Hon Khoai Forest Ranger Unit under Ca Mau Provincial Forest Protection Department.
On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh presented gifts and sent Tet greetings to the officers and soldiers who are guarding the southwestern airspace and sea of the country and the units standing on Hon Khoai island.
