Binh Duong’s delegation visits, provides support to Quang Binh

On November 25, a delegation from Binh Duong province visited and provided support to Quang Binh povince to assist residents affected by natural disasters in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives.

The delegation was led by Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Department; Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Head of provincial Relief Fund; Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society, along with representatives from various provincial departments, agencies and Becamex IDC.

During the meeting, leaders of Quang Binh province informed the delegation of  damages caused by recent natural disasters and ongoing efforts to overcome their impacts in the province. Leaders of Quang Binh province emphasized that the support from the Party, government and people of Binh Duong was a significant source of encouragement, greatly contributing to Quang Binh's efforts to gradually recover from natural disasters and stabilize the lives of the local residents.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Danh expressed deep sympathy for the difficulties and damages faced by the Party, government and people of Quang Binh over the past time. During this visit, the delegation presented a symbolic cheque of VND 5 billion, contributing to the efforts of Quang Binh's Party, government and residents in gradually overcoming the consequences of the natural disasters.

*As part of the program, Binh Duong province’s delegation also visited and presented gifts to poor fishermen in Le Thuy district. Binh Duong provincial Red Cross Society distributed gifts to 100 fishing households in Le Thuy district who had suffered losses, due to natural disasters. Each gift included VND 1 million in cash and items worth VND 500,000. Additionally, the society provided funding to build Red Cross houses for 5 households facing housing difficulties in Le Thuy district’s Ngu Thuy Bac commune,  with each household receiving VND 50 million in support. The total value of the gifts and housing assistance amounted to VND 400 million.
