Morning May 10, provincial People's Committee organized a conference to review the 5 year implementation of Politburo's Resolution No. 21-ND / TW on strengthening the Party's leadership over social insurance, health insurance in period 2012 - 2020 (Resolution No. 21). Mr. Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, attended and chaired the meeting.

After 5 years, Binh Duong made good changes in social insurance and health insurance policies. Party committees and authorities in the province issued many directives and instructions to propagandize, disseminate and thoroughly implement social and health insurance in an effective manner; performed the task of advising and contributing to perfecting the law on social insurance and health insurance; step by step improved the quality of implementation of social insurance and health insurance regimes. By the end of 2017, the province had more than 906,000 people participating in social insurance (accounting for over 69%); over 1.7 million people participated in health insurance, accounting for over 85.4%, exceeding the target assigned by the Prime Minister; Unemployment insurance accounted for more than 68% (nearly 900,000 people). At the same time, the work of settling regimes: retirement, social insurance, sickness, maternity, unemployment benefits, health insurance fund management were performed well.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Hung appreciated the implementation of Resolution 21 of Party committees, authorities and units in the province; At the same time, in order to better carry out the work of social insurance and health insurance, in the coming time, units needed to intensify propaganda activities among all people strata; increased collaboration in the management, monitoring, inspection, research to support students, workers access to social insurance, health insurance.
On this occasion, 30 individuals and 30 collectives received certificates of merit of provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the implementation of Resolution No. 21.
