Thanks to the efforts in effectively mobilizing all resources from the society to build a synchronous infrastructure system, Binh Duong has gained considerable achievements in socio-economic fields with the total investment capital for infrastructure reaching an annual growth rate of 13.3%.

The province’s infrastructure system in industrial parks and new urban areas have also been formed up in according with the modern trend. There has been a good investment in water supply-drainage and power infrastructure. As a result, 96% and 90% of the local people are now in use of clean water and power, respectively.
In addition, the province has constantly made more investment in socio-cultural institutions, contributing to meeting the requirements for the local industrialization and modernization process.
But, according to Mr. Cung, the province’s socio-economic infrastructure investment in a synchronous way has not yet been realized timely, especially in health and social housing fields.
It is known that the province has so far fulfilled the establishment of the Action Program on “Building socio-economic infrastructure in a synchronous way to meet requirements for industrialization and modernization” under the Resolution of the Party Central Committee's fourth session.
For a civilized and modern city
The main objectives of the Action Program are to form up a socio-economic infrastructure system at the requirements for the local sustainable and fast socio-economic development under the modernization, industrialization and urbanization trend; ensure social welfare; build and upgrade traffic infrastructure in a synchronous way, especially key works as a driving force for the local socio-economic development.
The Action Program also aims to develop urban infrastructure in the rural region under the trend of building Binh Duong into a growth pole in the southern key economic zone, help Binh Duong achieve criteria on infrastructure of a first-class city by 2015 and become a centrally-controlled city by 2020…
To achieve the above objectives, from now till 205, Binh Duong will bend on fulfilling some key traffic works, including the My Phuoc-Tan Van high way, the 742, 746 streets…; build provincial General Hospital and specialized ones; build dormitories and houses for students; set up a data center on infrastructure, population, land, housing and enterprises, which will act as a foundation for IT application into the management of human resources…
