Provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism has just selected top ten events of the sector in 2018. Following is the list of stand-out events:
1. A wooden sepulchre with bronze drum cover was recognized as a national precious objective in 2018
The wooden sepulchre with bronze drum cover was discovered in Tan Uyen town’s Phu Chanh ward by the end of 1998. This is a precious objective, representing a historical period before BC and after AC of Phu Chanh land and the southeastern region. In 2018, it was recognized as a national precious objective at the Decision No.1821/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister.
2. Binh Duong took part in the Hung Kings’ Festival 2018
The Hung Kings’ Festival 2018 was organized by Phu Tho province with the participation of 4 localities, namely Thai Nguyen, Quang
3. TDM city made planning for public land to build and upgrade parks
In 2018, TDM city built 28 parks while upgrading Phu Cuong park. These parks were arranged with green trees, benches, outdoor equipment for doing exercise…, serving people’s demand for cultural-sports activities and creating a highlight for the city’s urban architecture.
4. Activities marking the 60th anniversary of “Hatred Phu Loi” (December 1, 1958-December 1, 2018) was held
Provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism in collaboration with provincial Liaison Committee of Revolutionary Prisoners held a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of “Hatred Phu Loi”, with the participation of 500 delegates, including members of the Liaison Committees of Revolutionary Prisoners in 19 provinces and cities nationwide. The event aimed to educate young generation about patriotic tradition.
5. Binh Duong ranked 10th at 8th National Sports Festival for the first time
At the 8th National Sports Festival, Binh Duong’s sports delegation with 253 athletes, 56 coaches ranked the tenth with 18 gold medals, 19 silver medals and 39 bronze medals. This is also the first time the province has won the achievement at the national sports festival.
6. Fifth provincial Sports Festival was held successfully
With 23 events, the 5th provincial Sports Festival was organized very successfully with the participation of 2,829 athletes and 434 coaches. This is the first time the sports sector of the province has reached complete self-control in organizing the sports festival and was awarded the emulation banner for its excellent performance in holding sports festivals at all levels.

8. Becamex Binh Duong won 2018 National Cup championship
Becamex Binh Duong grasped the three-time National Cup championship after defeating Thanh Hoa. With his achievements, Anh Duc of Becamex Binh Duong also won the Silver Ball Award 2018.
9. First provincial
The first provincial Food Street Festival 2018 was organized at Bach Dang park with 40 booths on food, traditional handicraft items, travel and street art performance, absorbing thousands of visitors.
Provincial contest on designing tourism products 2018 also received more than 40 products from 20 authors in and out of the province. The contest aimed to create lots of the local special tourism products.
10.Seminar on improving competitiveness of Binh Duong’s tourism towards sustainable development
The seminar was co-held by provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, with the participation of nearly 200 delegates in and out of the province.
At the seminar, delegates made practical contributions to the local tourism sector under the spirit of the 12th Politburo’s Resolution No.08-NQ/TW on developing tourism into a key economic sector.
