Provincial Youth Union and its affiliates have reaped a lot of achievements in the last tenure, contributing to making positive change in the youth task.. They have taken initiative in grasping socio-economic performance and youth union members’aspirations to effectively implement movements. Upon this, young people have become more voluntary in solving such social issues as environmental pollution, traffic accidents, social welfare….To know more about this, Binh Duong Daily had an interview with Vo Van Minh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union.
According to you, what were the advantages of the above achievements?
The most biggest advantage was the attention of Party and State through promulgating the programs, projects, resolutions on the youth task, facilitating for the comprehensive development of the Youth Union. In addition, young people were very enthusiastic in action programs of the Youth Union.
What’s your assessment about the quality of the local Youth Union branches?
In the last tenure, the local Youth Union branches saw improvement in quality. The policy towards grassroots level was well realized, contributing to promoting the development of the local Youth Union branches. The implementation of the joint programs for young people also brought effectiveness, helping well uphold all sources in caring for young people.
What is the biggest challenge in the current youth task?
The dark side of the market-oriented economy and international integration process will make strong impacts on young people and some of them will have the decline of the faith, live pragmatically, have low awareness of the law execution…Whilst, the number of young people breaking the law is still high. All will be a big challenge for the current youth task.
What are the objects of provincial Youth Union for the next tenure?
The objects are to educate patriotism among young people; go with young people in the process of establishing their position in life and setting themselves up in business; take part in solving urgent issues of the society, contributing to promoting Binh Duong’s industrialization and modernization cause so that Binh Duong will become an industrial locality by 2015 and a city of class I by 2020…
