Recently, Thuan An district’s Binh Nham commune has always won high prizes at all music-sports movements held by the district.
Considering music as a spiritual dish and to better cater for local people’s cultural demand, the communal board of Culture and Information often works with mass bodies to produce music programs on big holidays and important events. Besides, it in cooperation with the district center of Culture-Sports holds some cultural festivals, luring numerous residents.
Music movement in the locality has reached many encouraging results of the first prize at the welcome Party and Spring music contest 2010, 2nd prize at contest of the Party praising songs and among others. By such achievements, the commune’s music movement is developed by the establishment of clubs of southern opera, singing together with the attendance of countless people.
The locality’s music nuclear includes about 25 members from all walks of life. Aside from music movement, the commune has developed sports activities sharply, especially football. The locality has built a mini football ground. Its football team won the 4th prize at the district Football Championship 2009. Moreover, volleyball, chess, badminton have been widely developed.
Assessing the local music and sports movement, Vo Hong An, head of the communal Culture-Information Committee, said local cultural and sports activities are under deep development among the public, especially youths.
