Binh Duong has basically completed the national target on new-style rural construction. The standard of striving for the construction of new rural areas with higher quality is to reach the model of a modern countryside, rich farmers and a prosperous farmer's life in all aspects.
Setting high goals, Binh Duong strives to implement new-style rural construction based on the local real conditions and building up a smart village is a breakthrough step in improving the quality of new-style rural construction. Bach Dang, the island commune of Tan Uyen town, is being selected by Binh Duong to pilot a smart village because it meets conditions to succeed with this goal. Bach Dang has an ideal natural environment, surrounded by rivers, and its soil is very suitable to the development of specialty fruit trees. It has no factories with great potential for eco-tourism development…Especially, Bach Dang also completed the 2020 program on advanced rural construction. Last year, the average income per capital herein reached VND 68 million and this was a typical example of Binh Duong's new rural construction.
After 25 years of construction and development, the province’s agriculture, farmers and rural areas have reaped many achievements, going along with all the local socio-economic aspects. The local rural image has changed clearly with a synchronous infrastructure system. The local agricultural production has gone into intensive farming in association with processing, consumption and value enhancement. The income and living standards of people in the local rural region are increasing day by day. They get rich right in their homeland.
The cause of construction and rural development continues following a higher standard in a new stage in line with the process of building Binh Duong smart city. Choosing Bach Dang as a pilot locality to build up a smart village is a new breakthrough. In the future, when Bach Dang succeeds, this model will be replicated, covering all countryside of the province. Many rural communes in the province have completed the new-style rural program, reaching to advancement and model. This is a very favorable condition for the smart village model to develop.
The breakthrough has begun and the construction process has also been implemented specifically. Along with political determination, potential and existing strength, it is expected that the smart village will cover the countryside of Binh Duong. With agriculture developed with modern countryside and rich farmers, Binh Duong’s rural region is really worth living. This is not a distant prospect, but an approaching reality.
