The local functional agencies have also organized dialogues with goods transportation units and building material trading, producing ones that signed commitments not to carry overloaded goods. In addition, many competitions on traffic safety have been organized across the province. Taking part in traffic accident prevention is seen one of criteria for considering the titles of cultural families, quarters, State agencies…, thereby contributing to raising public awareness of ensuring traffic order and safety.
Agencies and sectors in the province have actively mobilized people from all strata to well comply with regulations of the Law on Road Traffic. Under the Directive No.18-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee dated September 4 on strengthening the leadership of the Party towards the traffic safety and order assurance of roadway, railway and inland waterway, the whole province has so far carried out more than 43,400 propaganda shows with more than 1.5mln participants; delivered hundreds of thousands of leaflets and hang more than 4,000 propaganda banners on road traffic safety; granted more than 17,800 books on traffic safety to primary school pupils…
According to provincial Traffic Safety Committee, localities in the province have till now organized 12 training courses on traffic safety for workers, proprietors and lodgers in Thuan An, Di An and Ben Cat towns. More than 900 local Buddhist religious dignitaries have also got training on traffic safety, thereby helping raising Buddhist followers’ awareness of traffic safety. In addition, the local police agency has decided to give administrative punishment for 58 infringements on traffic safety while informing about them via the mass media as a warming to the community.
