Following Cuu Long army corp delegation, every one witnesses activities of border soldiers working at Vietnam-Cambodia border area under Binh Phuoc province. Along with people nationwide, thousands of ethnic people herein are in preparation for Tet.
From Binh Duong, the delegation carried Tet gifts to present to ethnic people in border areas of Binh Phuoc province’s Bu Dop district. Meanwhile, soldiers of Cinema team under the Cuu Long army corp were busy with equipments to cater for ethnic residents. The delegation arrived at the hub of Tan Tien commune that ethnic people account for nearly 50% of local population amid the welcome of numerous ethnic people who overcame a road of over 10km to arrive the communal center.
Ethnic people in Soc Ne hamlet receive Tet gifts.
At Soc Ne Cultural House, village patriarch Lam Van Dot said his family will enjoy a big Tet, thanks to Tet gifts from donors whilst Mrs. Nieng Thi Chreng, 77, Khmer resident said local ethnic people this year enjoy an abundant crop of manioc.Tan Tien commune and Cau Trang Border Post select Soc Ne hamlet as a model of ‘border bright area’. Therefore, under the support of border soldiers, the hamlet has won positive changes over the past years.
Visiting Cau Trang Border Post, many soldiers were in preparation for Tet. Major Tran Van Tuong said herein soldiers welcomed sisters of Thuan An district Women Union on Feb. 5. The two twin units often meet each other on the days near Tet. Besides, members of Thu Dau Mot town women union on Feb.4 paid a Tet visit to Hoa Lu Border Post’s soldiers.
The tranquil Mang River flowing along borders of Vietnam and Cambodia seemed more jubilant than ordinary days to give the signal of a new spring season approaching. Visiting Mang River Inspection Station under Cau Trang Border Post, soldiers herein were busy with their works on the days near Tet, owing to the growing demand on traveling of residents of the two nations.
To ensure safety during Tet, most of border units in Binh Phuoc province held Tet parties for soldiers before Tet to spend Tet holiday for patrols. Major Nguyen The Lich, Head of Binh Phuoc Border Post said ‘to ensure a safe Tet for ethnic people, most of border soldiers in the province focus on conducting political tasks during Tet’.
