On the afternoon of January 7, provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with Ben Cat city, organized the 2025 "Tet of kindness” program, distributing gifts and scholarships to people and students with difficult circumstances in the city. The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission and Nguyen Thị Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society.

To support students with difficult circumstances, during the 2024-2025 school year, 94 students in Ben Cat city received scholarships from provincial Red Cross Society, with a total value of VND 470 million. At the program, provincial Red Cross Society presented scholarships worth VND 5 million each to 20 students in need. In addition to these scholarships, Ben Cat city’s Red Cross Society also gave each student a gift worth VND 500,000.

To share and support people with difficult circumstances so that they can celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, provincial Red Cross Society also gave Tet gifts to 100 disadvantaged households, the poor, the visually impaired and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, with each gift valued at VND 1 million in cash. Ben Cat city’s Red Cross Society also mobilized organizations and individuals to present an additional gift worth VND 500,000 to each recipient.
This is one of the programs in the series of activities supporting the 2025 "Tet of kindness" movement, organized by provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with localities to mobilize resources, aiming at contributing to bringing a warm spring to disadvantaged people, helping them have better conditions for Tet in a joyful and meaningful way.
