Thuan An town mobilized all sources to launch many significant activities of taking care of spiritual and material life of people with the purpose of bringing Tet to every family.
On these days, Thuan An town-based Tet ambience overwhelms across main streets installed lights with full of colors.
To change image for a modern and civilized urban area, the town repaired 2 gateways on Nguyen Van Tiet and Nguyen Trai streets and has built other one in An Son commune and installed flower walls in front of headquarters of the town party committee, People’s Committee and An Thanh ward People’s Committee.
Taking part in decorating streets, Lai Thieu ward-based Chinese liaison board and enterprises donated expenses to install 350 apricot and peach branches along to main streets of this town, install some flower boards made by led light bars on Phan Dinh Phung street and decorate gateways on Phu Long, Nguyen Van Tiet and Nguyen Trai streets. Expense of this investment is more than VND838mil from budget and VND1.2bil from socialization.
Tet ambience in Thuan An town is bustling with spiritual “parties” for people through musical shows, fireworks and New Year’s Eve festivals. During Tet holidays, people will enjoy 2 musical nights, “charming Spring” contest, dragon dance and more.
In Lai Thieu ward alone, people will enjoy musical items at 2 performance nights, games at festivals to be held during the upcoming Tet holiday. Ong Thi Hoang Mai, chairwoman of Vinh Phu ward People’s Committee said that the ward will in Tet holiday 2015 hold a musical night, contest of decorating cultural gateways, mobilize local people to hang flags and keep environmental hygiene and more.
Aside from cultural beauty on Tet holidays, with the motto of “Everyone and every family enjoy a happy Tet holiday”, Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, vice chairwoman of Thuan An town People’s Committee shared that with efforts of the whole political system on supportive policies set out by the central and provincial authorities, the town focuses on taking care of poor and privileged people. Promoting this tradition, the town will in the coming Tet holiday 2015 spend VND481mil to grant gifts 481 privileged people, VND4.131bil to take care of 7,837 poor workers, households and more.
Earlier, all level sectors and agencies in Lai Thieu ward mobilized to grant about 900 gifts each worth VND500,000 for sub-poor households, needy children and immigrant workers. In addition, businesses, individuals, units in this ward supported and donated Tet gifts to the poor.
“We always hand over gifts to the poor in person to show our care and sympathy”, Nguyen ThanhTam, chairman of Lai Thieu ward said.
Nguyen Thi Thao’s family in An Quoi hamlet, An Son commune is one of poor households enjoying Tet gifts every year. “My family is a poor household, so the local authority annually donates gifts to us. I want to extend my frank thanks to localities, donors for their Tet gifts”, Thao said.
