In recent years, the model of social housing in the province has received the support of workers. This is a model of social security housing development based on clean land fund, and received investments in infrastructure and was put into use with preferential selling prices suitable for the majority of low-income workers in the province.

Each apartment in Hoa Loi Market, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot Town were designed logically, flexibly with an area of 30m2, 57m2 is able to accommodate from 2 to 4 persons. Selling price of an apartment is 30m2 on fifth floor is about VND101 million, on fourth floor is VND123 million, third floor is VND135 million, second floor is VND158 million. Ground floor is from VND642 to 720 million / apartment to offset the price for the upper apartments. Buyers pay only 20%, interest rate 5% / year, the remaining can be paid in installments from VND1 to 1.5 million / month, equal to a monthly rent. After 5 - 10 years, when the buyers pay off the debt, they will own the apartment to stabilize their lives.
Furthermore, Becamex also invested in building infrastructure such as: cultural house, community house, sports center, kindergarten... Do Thi Loan, a worker of Hoyalens Vietnam Co., Ltd said: "I have lived and been attached to this social housing area for 3 years. This place has very good material facilities and security. In addition, with the flexible installment policy, I do not have to worry much about debt repayments as well as household expenses. After 7 years I will own this house ". Nguyen Thi To Nhu, a worker at Kumho Tires Company, said: "I used to pay monthly from VND1 to 1.5 million to rent an apartment. Now this amount becomes the monthly installment to own my own apartment. The method is very suitable for low-income employees like us, not worry about buying land to build homes, settle down.
The highlight of social housing areas is to focus on workers, stabilize their lives, help them to attach long-term to Binh Duong land. Social housing has many utilities with complete infrastructure such as: Shuttle bus to pick up employees to workplaces, not far from industrial parks, schools, markets, centers.
Good models
Currently, Binh Duong has over 1 million workers, mainly workers coming from outside the province. With the large number of migrant workers, the demand for social housing is very urgent. By the end of 2017, the average housing area was 26.4 m2 / person, many residential areas, new urban streets were formed. To implement "Binh Duong Provincial Plan for Social Housing Development", in the last 5 years (2011-2015), the province completed 25 social housing projects, put into use with a total area of nearly 500,000 m2 floors; of which there are 4 projects under Becamex Social Housing Project with about 400,000 m2 floors. This is a model of social housing development based on clean land fund, and received investments in infrastructure and was put into use with preferential selling prices, in accordance with the income of workers.
In addition, in the province, there are about 200 enterprises in industrial parks and clusters that have invested in building houses for employees with total area of about 270,000 m2. Currently, the total floor area of Binh Duong reaches about 770,000 m2. In addition, there are over 3 million m2 of lodging houses built by households and individuals, equivalent to about 180,000 lodging rooms, accommodating 540,000 low-income people. This type of accommodation still works and solves most the need for workers in the province. In 2016-2020 period, Binh Duong will continue to build social housing, pay attention to workers in industrial zones. It is expected that by 2020, the province will invest and build more about 1,660,000 m2 of accommodation for workers, including lodging houses built by local individuals.
